Terms of Service

1. Lawful use

By using TracePoint, you attest that all investigations conducted through the platform are for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, including privacy, surveillance, and data protection regulations in your jurisdiction. TracePoint is a tool for collecting publicly available information; it does not access private or protected data.

2. Eligibility

TracePoint is intended for licensed investigators, security professionals, law enforcement, and authorized analysts. You may be required to provide professional credentials or license numbers. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service to any user.

3. Prohibited uses

• Stalking, harassment, or intimidation of any person
• Accessing private, protected, or non-public data
• Using the platform without the required legal authority
• Reselling or redistributing raw data to third parties
• Using the platform to harm minors
• Any illegal activity under applicable law

4. Data retention

Search results and evidence are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days. After 90 days post-cancellation, all data is permanently deleted. Audit logs are retained for 7 years for legal compliance. You may export all your data at any time.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Gumroad. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are handled per Gumroad's refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

6. Acceptable use of evidence

Evidence collected through TracePoint is provided for investigative purposes. While we maintain chain of custody and SHA-256 hashing, we make no guarantee that evidence will be admissible in any specific legal proceeding. Admissibility is determined by the court.

7. Limitation of liability

TracePoint is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid in the preceding 12 months.

8. Subpoena & legal requests

We maintain immutable audit logs of all searches. We will comply with valid legal process requesting user data or search history. Users will be notified of such requests unless prohibited by law.
